We love what we do. Our performers have a variety of backgrounds and talents that allow us to make our performances truly a one of a kind experience.
Owner of Pure Pilates and Pure Aerial, began her appreciation and curiosity for the Aerial Arts in Austin, Texas.  She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Dance in 2002 and received her Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from Austin Community College in 2007.  Her love of movement and rehabilitation training expanded with her Pilates, Gyrokinesis, and Gyrotonic Teacher Trainings in 2003, 2009, and 2011 respectively.  The combination of these modalities and love for performing, Susan has found a new creative outlet as an aerial artist.
Andrea Henshall is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor, TRX qualified instructor, and an Unnata® certified aerial yoga instructor at Pure Pilates in Pensacola and Gulf Breeze.  Andrea has also trained in aerial circus under Nikki Beck of Pure Aerial Performances and at the Aerial Fit® circus building in Charleston, SC.  Andrea graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007 with a masters degree in Astronautical Engineering (which she might use someday…)  She received her yoga teacher training at Navarre Living Yoga in Navarre, FL; her TRX qualification from Urban Body Studios in Atlanta, GA; and her Unnata® certification from Aerial Fit in Charleston, SC.  As someone who didn’t start performing until she was in her 30s, Andrea enjoys demonstrating that you’re never to old to quit your job and join the circus!
Erin is originally from Austin Texas where she trained in ballet, as well as other styles of dance and has been performing since the age of six. She has trained with several companies in the US and Canada and is now happy to be dancing as a soloist, since 2010, with Ballet Pensacola. In July of 2014, Erin took her very first aerial yoga class and fell in love with it. In May of 2015, she took an aerial yoga teacher certification program and is now teaching her love of aerial to others.  Erin has a passion for performing and wants to make everyone feel that love and excitement for this amazing art.
Ashlyn was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. Growing up, she was involved in cheerleading and gymnastics for 7 years. She found yoga in 2012 to seek healing from sports injuries. In 2013, she became passionately involved in training for aerial acrobatics, which includes aerial yoga, silks, and aerial hoop (lyra). She also enjoys acro yoga and having fun with the Pensacola acrobatic yoga community. She holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Pensacola State College and a 200-hour hatha yoga teaching certification from URU Yoga and Beyond. A passion for aerial arts deepens and compliments her yoga practice continuously. She believes in becoming who you truly are in every sense, and hopes to facilitate this through any physical practice she may teach.
